Dry shampoo or color spray should be washed out before dyeing as this may prevent the color from adhering properly.

For lengths and ends, you should always choose a lighter color as this absorbs color faster and will become darker. If you have treated the lengths and ends, you can use a tint on them for a nice refresh.
