Instructions for use bleaching & toning by Bente
PRE-TREATMENT:
Ideally, the hair should not be freshly washed, as the natural oil layer protects the scalp during bleaching.
Mixing ratio and application:
Always mix only one mixture at a time. Start applying to the darkest hair first. Very important to leave it in long enough so that the hair is as light as desired before rinsing. Scrape away a little of the bleach as you go, so that you can see the lightness of the hair more correctly. Important that the hair is more light yellow, not orange. So very important to leave the bleach in long enough before rinsing.
If you are going to bleach your entire hair, the 2-3 cm from the scalp will always lighten more due to the heat from the scalp. If the hair is equally dark all over and the hair quality is good, you can choose an equal H202 from root to tip. If you have lighter lengths, choose a weaker strength for them rather than the regrowth. It is always important to have good hair quality when bleaching your hair.
Bleaching:
Mix Blond and H2O2 90ml. Apply to dry hair. Leave on for up to 60 minutes from when everything is applied.
Toning small:
Mix H2O2 0.9% 90ml with 2 tubes Mix.
Toning medium:
Mix H2o2 0.9% 90ml with 3 tubes of Mix and 30 ml of water.
PROCEDURE
Step 1 – Bleaching:
Start applying the bleach at the back of your hair or on the darkest area. Remember that the hair around the hairline is thinner and finer, and therefore lightens faster. Full working time is 60 minutes from when everything is applied, the bleaching is activated when it is out of the bowl. Check the bleaching process by scraping off a little bleach to check the lightness. It is important that the hair is light enough before rinsing. It must be more towards bright yellow, not orange. After 60 minutes of working time, the bleaching will decrease considerably.
Step 2 – Rinsing:
During rinsing, the bleach can be lathered up to refresh the lengths. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo once, and apply conditioner or hair treatment to the lengths of the hair. Dry the hair thoroughly with a towel.
Step 3 – Toning:
Start applying the tint to slightly damp to dry hair. The drier the hair, the better the hold and the better the neutralization. Start at the back of the hair or on the most golden area. Apply to the entire base first, leave it on for 15-30 minutes, and then pull the tint further into the hair if necessary. Hair that is already completely light does not need neutralization. Dry ends attract more color, they can be lathered up during rinsing. Rinse, wash and finish with a good hair treatment.
Important information:
Bleaching is the most intensive treatment your hair can undergo. Therefore, it is important to avoid using stronger bleaching agents than necessary. If you have already bleached your hair, you can apply a little conditioner or treatment to the transition area to protect the already lightened hair.
Toning will neutralize more yellow in completely dry hair. Dry hair has more room for the pigments from the tint. Hair closest to the scalp needs longer exposure time to achieve a cool shade. Dry lengths and ends quickly attract pigment and can become darker, even with a light shade.
When you add pigment through toning, the hair will always become slightly darker. Toning neutralizes and gives the hair a more natural color. Every hair is different, so it is challenging to give completely precise instructions for use. Always check the process along the way.
