Bleaching and neutralization
When you bleach your hair, the natural golden pigments will always come out. If you want a natural to cool color on your hair, you should always use some form of neutralization after bleaching. The hair at the base of the scalp always needs a longer exposure time and more color than the lengths and ends.
Toning: A tint will always make the hair a little darker as it does not contain any form of lightening. Gives a natural result as a tint is more transparent and not as dense as a color.
Color: With 0.9% and 1.5% the hair will become slightly darker, 3% will retain the same lightness, while 6% and 7.5% will give a slight lightening. A color contains less h2o2 and will therefore give the hair more pigment, provides better neutralization, coverage and durability compared to a tint.
Light color: If you want extra lightening at the same time as you want neutralization, we recommend a lightening color after bleaching. Perfect for those who want platinum blonde hair, or for lengths and ends for extra lightening. Color mix no. 10.1 and 10.02 will give the lightest result.
Refreshing light lengths: Is intended for already light lengths that do not need as much pigment and for a slight lightening while neutralizing.
NOTE: When hair is freshly bleached, it will always absorb more pigment as the hair shaft is open. The hair closest to the scalp always needs a longer exposure time and a cooler shade for an even result.
Purple mask: Can also be used for neutralization. Brush this into towel-dried hair.
Below you will see a table that shows the natural warm pigments found in hair based on the darkness of the hair.
All hair strands are made up of the primary colors Red, Yellow and Blue. It is the amount of primary color that determines the pitch of the hair.
When you bleach your hair, the blue pigments always disappear first and the warm pigments become visible. After 2 minutes of bleaching, the blue pigments will disappear. For neutralization, the complementary color is used, that is, the color that is opposite each other in the color wheel.

Fargestjerna – Neutralization
💜Purple neutralizes yellow💛
💙Blue neutralizes orange🧡
💚Green neutralizes❤️
Sometimes hair can be perceived as more YELLOW/ORANGE, so both purple and blue are used. The color no. 9.12 and no. 9.21 contain this.
