Strip all the hair
Stripping the entire hair is an odorless and gentle bleaching adapted to Scandinavian hair. The innermost 2-3cm towards the scalp (regrowth) will always lighten more due to the heat from the scalp. If the hair is equally dark all over and the hair quality is good, you should choose a stronger strength for the lengths and ends. If you have lighter lengths, choose a weaker strength for them. It is always important to have good hair quality when you are going to strip the entire hair. If you are unsure, check the buying guide. Vegan and ppd-free lightening.
All our color packs are mixed in bowl and applied with a brush
Bleaching / striping:
Have you previously dyed or bleached your hair? Is your hair damaged or weakened? This will affect how your hair reacts to bleaching. It is always better to use a weaker H202 and let it sit for the full working time. If you want to lighten already lightened hair, 1.5% or 3% will be enough for a nice refresh.
Determine the desired brightness level:
How many tones lighter do you want your hair to be? This will help you choose the right strength of H2O2. The thicker, healthier and darker your hair, the stronger the lightening. Never use more than 6% on dry or already lightened hair.
1.5% H202 lightens about 1 tone - Weakest strength
3% H202 lightens 2-3 tones - Weak strength
6% H202 3-4 tones - Normal strength
7.5% H202 about 4 tones - Normal strength
9% H202 4-5 tones - Heavy strength
12% H202 6-8 tones - Very strong (should consult with city officials)
Understand the products in the package:
Blonde: This is the bleaching powder that will lighten your hair.
H2O2: Hydrogen peroxide activates the bleaching powder and helps the lightening process. Choose the desired strength based on your needs and hair quality.
Assess the condition of your hair:
If your hair is dry or weakened, you should use a light bleaching. It is better for your hair to have several rounds of a light strength rather than a strong and more aggressive bleaching. Use a good hair treatment before and after bleaching to strengthen your hair. If you are unsure what your hair can tolerate or what to choose, we always want you to contact us.💖
Strip all over your hair:
If you have regrowth, it is important to use a stronger H202 there rather than on the lengths. For already lightened, dry or damaged hair, it is important to reduce the strength of the H202.
Dry shampoo should be washed out before streaking hair as this can cause a chemical reaction in the hair. It is important that the streaks are light enough before rinsing, scrape off a little product to check the lightness before rinsing. The product starts working when it leaves the bowl. The working time starts when all the streaks have been applied to the hair. After 60 minutes the product will decrease considerably, so no problem taking a little time with the application.
The hair contains yellow pigments until the hair is chalk white. Therefore, we recommend neutralizing with a purple mask or toning after lightening to give the hair a more natural light shade.
Mixing ratio:
1 bag Blond + 1 bottle H2O2 (90 ml.)
Mix only one mixture at a time, if you don't need the whole package you can mix less, 1 tbsp powder to 2 tbsp H202
Application:
Apply the mixture to dry hair. Start applying to the darkest hair. The hair around the hairline is thinner and lightens faster.
Operating time:
Leave on for 20 – 60 minutes, depending on the desired lightening level. Remember that the lightening starts working when it comes out of the bowl, so there is no danger if the application takes time.
It is important to monitor the bleaching process. Check the hair by scraping off a little of the bleach as you go, so that the hair is as light as desired before rinsing. After 60 minutes, the bleaching process will slow down considerably.
Flushing:
You can rinse out the strips as they are finished. After all the strips have been rinsed out, wash your hair twice and finish with a good hair treatment.
We always recommend a toning or purple mask for neutralization after streaking for a more natural result. A toning is ALWAYS applied to slightly damp hair after streaking.
