Finding the perfect hair color can be a challenge for many, but with a few simple steps, you can find a hair color that will accentuate your face and give you a flattering result.
Find your skin tone. Before you start choosing your hair color, you need to first figure out what skin tone you have. There are generally three types of skin tones: warm, cool, and neutral. To figure out what skin tone you have, look at the veins on your forearm. If they look blue, you have a cool skin tone; if they look green, you have a warm skin tone; and if you can't decide whether they're blue or green, you have a neutral skin tone.
Think about your eye color
Your eye color can also play a role in determining what hair color will suit you best. In general, hair colors that are in the same color range as your eye color will be more flattering. If you have blue eyes, you might consider trying a blonde or lighter hair color. If you have green eyes, a reddish hair color might be appropriate, and if you have brown eyes, you might consider trying a darker hair color.
Look at your wardrobe
The clothes in your closet usually reflect the colors you feel comfortable in and that you wear. Are most of your clothes in warm or cool colors? For example, if you have a lot of cool colors in your closet, you will most likely wear cool shades in your hair. Strong colors usually suit darker hair, while softer colors suit lighter hair.
Choose the right shade
Once you've figured out your skin tone and eye color and checked your wardrobe, you're well on your way to finding the right shade of hair color that suits you.
